Castagnola's

Castagnola's is conveniently situated at the center of the Fisherman's wharf. The history of the restaurant goes back to 1915 when Thomas Castagnola who had prepared the first crab cocktail started the first crab stand in 1916. The restaurant makes available an old world charm with modern day conveniences.

The place has a completely renovated 21st century dining area. The seats are arranged such that the guests get breathtaking views of the Coit tower, Fisherman's wharf, San Francisco Bay, Fishing boats, and the historic F line.

The restaurant serves a range of fresh sea food with a hardy fare of lamb, pasta, steaks, veal and chicken. Some of the specialties in the restaurant include Herb Whole Maine Lobster, Roasted Rack of Lamb, Cedar Plank King Salmon and Live Whole Maine Lobster. There are also a range of home made cheese and assorted desserts that are available to the San Francisco travel visitors.

The restaurant has an extensive wine list and features wines from across the globe including Australian, French, Californian, Argentine, Italian wines. There are also a plethora of other drinks that are available in the restaurant.

The restaurant has a banquet room on the second floor that has a partially covered patio from where the guests can get panoramic views of the Fisherman's wharf. The place can accommodate around 200 people. It is ideal for fundraisers, wedding receptions, and other special events.

The private party menus and the beverage list can be customized to suit your needs. The staff of the restaurant can make arrangements for floral arrangements, party favors, audio video equipment, photography and entertainment.

Castagnola's provides a world class dining destination for Italian cuisine and seafood. There is also live music in the restaurant. The restaurant is open from 11 am to 10 pm on all days of the week.
