Fillmore Theater San Francisco

The Fillmore Theater is a heritage music venue located in San Francisco, California. It was originally situated at the junction of the Fillmore Street and Geary Boulevard, but its current location is on the border of the Western Addition and Pacific neighborhoods. Visitors coming down to the city of San Francisco can put up at one of the hotels San Francisco close to the Fillmore Theater.

Bill Graham was instrumental in moving his concerts in 1968 to a separate venue at Market Street which was renamed Fillmore West. The original Fillmore Theater or Auditorium continued with the name The Elite Club. Graham again moved back to presenting concerts in the earlier Fillmore Auditorium in 1980, which subsequently had to be closed on account of earthquake damage in the October of 1989. After a good amount of renovation in 1994 Fillmore Theater was reopened in the earlier Geary Boulevard location. Currently, Fillmore Theater is operated by Live Nation.
