The beaches of San Francisco are different from those of Los Angeles. The San Francisco beaches are usually slightly chilly, fogy, windy, or cloudy. This should not however prove to be a deterrent factor for you to enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the beach. You may get your wet suit as the water can be quite cold. Carrying a sweatshirt and a jacket may also be a good option. Some beach towels, a good book, a sand bucket, a Frisbee and a kite will make for a delightful afternoon by the beach. These are the main beaches of San Francisco:

- Ocean Beach

- Baker Beach

- Aquatic Park

- East Beach

- Stinson Beach

A day spent leisurely at one of the San Francisco beaches will surely be a rejuvenating experience.
