Loving Camping? Discovering the Best Beach Camping Parks in the South of San Francisco California
San Francisco, California has a few good camping grounds and parks where you can spend good time with your family or friends. These parks are run by the California State Parks and are open to the public all year round. You should check if some of these have camping sites or are open for camping beforehand.
Some of the parks that are open for camping are the Angel Islands State Park, China Camp State Park, Mount Tamalpais State Park, and the Samuel Taylor State Park. While there are no active camp grounds within the city of San Francisco, these parks are the closest to the city and the most recommended when it comes to enjoying the natural splendor of California State.
Angel Island in particular is open to biking and hiking campsites while the rest are open to family camping. Some of the activities you can do camping at these places are fishing, hiking, windsurfing, and biking. A lot of these campsites also have guided tours which tell you exactly how the area came to be - its history and development. Guided tours are priced around $65 with a minimum age of 16 and above. Some parks also extend a biking renting option although you can also get your own bike if you have one.
If you have a Recreational Vehicle and there is a weekend you would like to spend with your family you should head to the Marin Park, the Novato RV Park, Vineyard RV Park, or the SF RV Resort. Rates can range from $50, $259 for daily and weekly durations. For monthly durations it is essential that the age of your RV shouldn't exceed 15 years.
