There are a number of beaches marked with swimming lanes, which are ideal for water sports such as wind surfing. West of the Ghiradelli Square, you can find a fairly long stretch of beach, (in front of Maritime Museum), where you can have lot of fun.

You may even see folks swimming without wetsuits (but it is not advisable though).

Note: The water is damn cold and there are sea lion and giant sea mammals around that area, so be careful when you go in!

San Francisco has a midnight basketball league program that helps players with training and financial support to enhance their game.

This non-profit organization conducts an absolutely free 6 days a week basketball league from 6 pm in the evening. There are tryouts sessions every Tuesday and selected players can use a lot of benefits that are offered by the league to help its members.
