Two celebrities that have very well-known homes in San Francisco include actor Robin Williams and author Danielle Steel.

Robin Williams has a mansion in Sea Cliff, the upscale neighborhood that boasts the only coastline in the city. Williams' residency is often indicated by a flag bearing a wolf print on it.

Danielle Steel's home, known as the Spreckels Mansion, is situated in Pacific Heights (the same neighborhood Sharon Stone lived in). The area boasts splendid Victorian architecture specimens, many of them with a history.

Spreckels Mansion belonged to Adolph Spreckels, the "Sugar tycoon" who built it for his young wife in 1913. It contains 55 rooms.
