Is it possible for disabled people to visit Alcatraz in San Francisco
The infamous Alcatraz prison which is one of San Francisco's most visited places has a number of different facilities that allow disabled people to take a good look at this prison which is on an island.
The Alcatraz Island authorities don't have any wheelchairs on offer but they have in the recent years built a number of ramps that allow easy access to people who come on wheelchairs.
In fact, the authorities think that people on wheelchair are only a small number of the disabled, so they also have people who can use the sign language, special staff that deals with people who have cognitive disabilities and also staff trained to help blind people.
