Some of the neighborhoods which one must try and avoid are:

1. Bay view or Hunters Point - The only reason why tourists do go to this place is because of the 49ers but remember stick to the main entry and exit points and you should be fine.

2. Tenderloin - This area is ok during the day time but must be avoided in the nights.

3. Haight Ashbury - Quite nightmarish during the nights.
