There are numerous educational summer camps that teach kids useful skills in fun ways. These include such creativity enhancing summer camps as Edventure Tech, Camp Edmo, Camp Galileo, etc.

Edventure Tech is for kids entering grades 5 through 9. The camp partners with ZEUM to create programs that include animation, making of music videos and digital movie making.

Camp Edmo is a K-5 camp that partners with several well-reputed educational organizations including ZEUM, YMCA, the CA Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium, etc. to come up with a program that includes arts, science, recreation and animation projects.

Camp Galileo caters to pre-K kids and through to 5th graders. It focuses on science, art and outdoor programs.

The 1906 earthquake that struck San Francisco on April 18, caused major havoc and disaster resulting not only in collapsed buildings but fires that raged for days without control. The city's water supply was affected and almost 500 people are said to have lost their lives.
