San Franciscan climate in summer

Summer in San Francisco is unlike any other place in the United States. Instead of warm sunny days, this season in the city is characterized by chilly mornings and a persistent fog. The whole city wears an overcast look in the morning with the fog clearing up as the day progresses on the bay side but remaining for a lot longer on the ocean side.

The afternoons are windy and the evenings can again get foggy and chilly.

The average high temperature from June to August lies between 64F to 67F with the average low temperature ranging between 53F to 55F.
