Oakland city which is located close to San Francisco has an NFL team named the Oakland Raiders that plays along with San Francisco's 49ers in the Western Division in the National Football League.

All their home games are held at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum which can seat up to 63,000 fans for a football game.

The team hasn't found any recent major success but had won the AFL Championship back in 1967 and the Super Bowl Championship in 1976, 1980 and 1983. Their most recent major victory was in 2002 when they won the Conference Championship and also the Division Championship.
