Sean Penn's home close to San Francisco
The Penns put their home in Marin County (just north of San Francisco) on the market in August last year. They bought the place together in 1996.
When purchased the sum paid for the home was $2.1 million, however, the selling price listed for the house in 2008 was $15 million.
The listing, however, wasn't made public. The house was built in the Spanish style back in 1933. The couple invested about two years restoring the mansion to its original glory. It has 5 bedrooms, a gym, a suite for an au pair, as well as an office and a garage that parks three cars.
