What does the Human Services department do
The job of the Human Services department is to promote well being for all citizens of San Francisco. Residents who have suffered and need help with life's basics can turn to Human Services for aid.
The department assists with applying for and receiving food stamps as well as handling transitional housing and shelter reservations. Anyone needing to report instances of child abuse or senior abuse should contact this office.
