If you prefer to drive to the airport, figure out the driving directions before starting your engine. The following are driving directions to the SFO offered to make your trip much easier.
1) From Highway 280
Whether you are driving from Highway 280 north or south, take Highway 380 east to the 101 south exit towards San Jose. Then take the San Francisco International Airport exit. Choose between domestic and international flights. Follow the signs to parking lot, arrivals or departures.
2) From the North
If you are driving from the north, it is suggested to take 101 south to the San Francisco International Airport. Then follow the signs to the airport.
3) From the South
For visitors coming from the south, it is necessary to take 101 north to the San Francisco International Airport. Afterwards, there are signs that will take you to arrivals, departures or hourly parking.
4) From the Fairmont San Francisco
Driving visitors departing from the Fairmont San Francisco should turn right on California Street from the front door. Go 8 blocks and make a left on Van Ness Avenue. As you go through Market Street, Van Ness Avenue will turn into South Van Ness. Follow the South Van Ness to Howard and bear right on Howard. The airport's 101 South Entrance will be on the other side of the intersection.
