Opera House
The San Francisco Opera House or the War Memorial Opera House of San Francisco is found on the Van Ness Avenue. It is part of the SFWMAPAC and it's an opera house that houses over 3000 seats. This is the home of the SFO or the San Francisco Opera ever since the opera opened back in 1932.
It's a venue for the Symphony of San Francisco travel city. They performed here since 1932 until 1980. It's known as an elegant Opera house and is a rival of the elegant Old World Theaters. It does not just house the San Francisco Opera but it's also the home of the San Francisco Ballet.
Just entering this amazing Opera House will already leave you in awe. You don't need to hear the songs of the Opera singers to be delighted, just by being here already gives you that. The lobby itself is so elegant and big. It makes you feel like royalty. Its stage and proscenium are equally or even far more elegant as well. It's just the right stage for the most prominent opera singers and performers.
The interior designs of the San Francisco Opera House are really festive from the grand entrance hall down to the actual stage. The Opera House before does not have any office space nor does it have a space for rehearsals but in 1979 there was an extension so there could be enough space for sets as well as for office spaces.
The Zellerbach Rehearsal Hall was built in 1981 and can be found just nearby. It is actually part of the Opera House and it has a stage which is of the same size as that found on the Opera House itself. It's for rehearsals of the performers. Now, the San Francisco Opera House is complete with all the facilities needed by the performers, contractors, producers and of course, the audience.
Have fun out there!
